What is a standup cause?
A StandUP cause is an organization or cause that a chapter or region chooses to focus on helping out. Any non-profit, or charitable cause can be a StandUP cause. A chapter or region will work to donate money, advocate for, and volunteer with the organization to help and act as ambassadors for that cause. StandUP causes should be chosen as a group, and is a chance for a chapter or region to advocate for a cause that is close to their hearts.

The John C. Thiessen’s Children’s Foundation works to provide hospitals and child-care facilities with therapeutic and recreational equipment to assist children in extended stays in hospitals. They support families with financial assistance to lessen the burden of medical expenses, offer sick and needy children toys throughout the holiday season. Year-round, they fulfill children of all ages’ wish lists and assist sick and underprivileged children to maintain a sense of normalcy in their life. All NSR chapters are more than welcome to help out this organization by holding fundraisers, toy drives, or volunteering with the John C. Thiessen’s Children’s Foundation.
